ALMAX Adds IATF Certification For Automotive Electronics

Kirkland, Washington – April 9, 2020 – ALMAX, a global leader in electronic interface design and manufacturing, announced their ALMAX Electronics Dongguan facility has earned IATF 16949:2016 compliance for its Quality Management Systems (QMS). The certification enables ALMAX to manufacture and deliver automotive electronic components.

ALMAX EIS Finishes New Class 1000 Clean Room

Kirkland, Washington – September 9, 2016 ALMAX EIS, a global leader in electronic interface design and membrane switch manufacturing, announced the release to production of a new class 1000 clean room.  The new clean room, located in their Shenzhen facility, is expected to both increase capacity and improve product quality.

“Our customers wanted the option to purchase prototypes off-shore, not just from our Tuscon facility,” said Jim Clark, VP Sales of ALMAX EIS.  “Adding clean-room capacity in Shenzhen enables us to better serve our customers’ membrane switch prototype, capacitive switch prototype and other complex electronic interface design and prototype needs.”

ALMAX Purchases New Capital Equipment

Kirkland, Washington – July 14, 2016 ALMAX EIS, a global leader in electronic interface design and membrane switch manufacturing, announced the release to production of a new roll-to-roll printer.  The capital equipment purchase completes the facility upgrades at their Shenzhen facility.  Last month the facility’s new Class 1000 clean room was released to production.  Increased capacity was brought online at the facility to meet customer demand for lower cost off-shore prototypes.

The off-shore capacity is in addition to ALMAX EIS US-based design facility and a US-based manufacturing plant that can produces membrane switch prototypes in as little as 24 hours.  The ALMAX EIS US engineering team will manage prototypes running through the Shenzhen facility ensuring customers receives seamless support from design through manufacturing.

ALMAX EIS Achieves ISO Recertification

Kirkland, Washington – June 21, 2016 – ALMAX EIS, a global leader in electronic interface design and membrane switch manufacturing, announced their Shenzhen facility has been granted ISO 9001:2016 and ISO 13485:2003 International Standard certification for its Quality Management Systems (QMS).   The updated certifications will remain valid until 2019.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification, which is the latest version of the world’s leading quality management standard ISO 9001, ensures that ALMAX EIS consistently provides high-quality products to its customers and aims to enhance their customers’ satisfaction.

Philips Medical awarded ALMAX EIS perfect scores for innovation, service responsiveness and product quality on their annual review.  Additionally, Philips NPI engineering teams named ALMAX EIS a “trendsetter in their domain” recognizing  ALMAX’s ability to contribute to PCP/NPI cost savings without compromising product quality.  ALMAX EIS shipments to Philips Medical had a 100% lot acceptance rate (LAR) for the year.

A membrane switch is made by screen printing conductive inks in a specifically designed pattern onto a heat stabilized substrate. A graphic is added to the circuit using an adhesive. When clicking a button, it connects with the circuit, thereby communicating with the equipment or device.
